Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary: A Celebration of Seven Decades of Magic
As we approach May 16, 2025, we are thrilled to invite you, my friend, to join in commemorating seven decades of magic, joy, and unforgettable memories. Kicking off this May, “Celebrate Happy” will bring a year-long celebration to the Disneyland Resort in honor of its 70th anniversary. You will be able to celebrate all the happiness we make together during these seven decades with your favorite attractions, special entertainment, limited-time food offerings and merchandise, and more!
A Grand Kickoff
The celebration begins on May 16, 2025, with the stunning return of the “Paint the Night” parade. This vibrant nighttime procession will illuminate Disneyland Park with a dazzling display of lights, music, and beloved Disney characters. With more than a million LED lights, come meet some of your old friends and enjoy the magical night with us! Beyond that, Disney California Adventure Park will debut “World of Color Happiness!”, a mesmerizing water and light show that celebrates the essence of Disney storytelling. Remember Disney and Pixar films Inside Out and Inside Out 2? You will be able to join the journey with those friends–Joy, Sadness, Disgust, and more. Laugh, sing, and dance together!
Limited-time Entertainment
Get ready! Starting this year, you can experience the all-new, spectacular cavalcade, “Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy!” Plus, a brand-new projection show will light up “it’s a small world.” Moreover, some of your favorite entertainment is making a grand return! This summer, the vibrant “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade will be back at Disney California Adventure Park for a limited time. Dress up in your favorite outfits and join us for unforgettable moments at the park!

In a heartfelt tribute to our founder, this extraordinary storytelling experience celebrates the rich legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios—the creative force that inspired Walt Disney’s original magical kingdom.
